Select the
desired object from the ChemDraw
document, and copy it to the clipboard.
Then open up your Word
document, and position your pointer at the desired insertion point. What you do next depends on your version of
Microsoft Word:
1. For
Microsoft Word 2001 for the Macintosh or Microsoft Word 2000 for Windows,
choose Edit…Paste Special and select
the Paste button. Highlight Picture
from the option list, and hit the OK
button. Your object should appear in your document. To change its position,
select your object and a “Picture” toolbar will appear on your screen. At this
point you can move your object around by holding down the left mouse button and
dragging. You can also use the various options available in the “Picture”
toolbar.
2. For
Microsoft Word 1998 for the Macintosh or Microsoft Word 1997 for Windows,
choose Edit…Paste Special and select
the Paste button. Next highlight Picture from the option list, and de-select the “Float over
text” option by clicking the appropriate box if necessary. Finally, hit the OK button.
